    I am trying to transfer music/video files from Mac El Capitan to my Blackberry Priv but my Mac won't recognize the Priv (message keeps on popping up on screen to attach android device even though it is connected). I have rebooted a couple of times but it still doesn't work. I don't think this is an Mac issue as I can easily transfer files to my Samsung Tab A using Android File Transfer. Does anyone have any solution to this?

    Check for any security options regarding USB transfer under your phone's setting. I don't own a Priv so I am not sure. However, long time ago Android phones required the selection of file transfer via USB, so maybe this is a similar scenario. Also, try connecting you phone via Bluetooth. Not fast but works good.

    Try a USB 2.0 port instead of 3, especially if running a hackintosh. Had problems with my phones (incl priv).

    I'm in the same boat. My Mac Mini w/ El Capitan refuses to acknowledge the presence of my plugged-in Priv also.
