I currently have it set up for the camera app. But I want to set it up to turn the flash light on.

I cannot seem to find the setting for it for the life of me. Where do I find the setting for the power button shortcut?

I can't remember where the setting is either.
Unfortunately it isn't a generic setting like you're hoping for.
Even if you find the setting it just gives you the option to open camera or not open camera.

I think there is an app in Google Play that will start the flashlight after a triple tap.
I miss the App I used on BlackBerry 10 which would turn on the light while a volume let was held.

You can use the Buttons Remapper app to use the volume mute button as a shortcut for turning the torch on/off. If that sounds like a good enough alternative.

    Nice find!
Still not quite as good as what I used on BlackBerry 10, as this doesn't work when the screen is off.

Edit: in case someone else tries this and has problems, make sure you use "VOLUME_MUTE" not "MUTE".

Okay. Thanks for letting me know.

Even with the third party option, wouldn't I still need to turn the camera option off from the Priv's native setting? I was looking to find out where I can have the native setting for the power button shortcut.

I finally found were the double tap for camera setting is located. It's under Display for some reason.

The Button remap App actually works with pretty much any key EXCEPT the power button.

There are a number of apps dedicated specifically to what you want though. Here is an example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...san.powertorch

You don't technically need to turn off the camera shortcut. You can have it so a slow double (or triple) tap starts the light, but the regular fast double tap opens the camera. If you want to be able to start the light with a fast double or triple tap, then you will need to disable the camera double tap shortcut.
