I cant grant access to the sd card on my priv or the wifes S7 now that we downloaded marshmallow. Can anyone help me with this ?

Are they encrypted? If not, all of the contents on the SD cards should show up in their respective places in the device upon inserting the cards. Try downloaded a file manager such as ES file Explorer to see exactly where things are

As soon as you install MM, you are asked if you want your SD card as extended device storage (which means it will be encrypted and cannot be transferred to another device), or as typical external storage (with the added fact that you can no longer run apps from it).
