I have the shopblackberry priv and when receiving the new update couple days ago, it fixed that annoying issue. Now it stays off. U might just have to wait till att sends out the update around dec7.

Same here, my unlocked Priv on T-Mo was constantly resetting my wifi calling that was disabled. I even tried leaving it enabled but hitting "cellular preferred" but it would switch to "wifi preferred" on its own.

Recent update keeps it off, so I finally don't get those annoying title bar notifications - it stays off .

Solid first OS update, can't wait for the 14th for the Hub and BlackBerry Services app updates!

I am hoping they push the update out on the 7th for AT&T because I have a unlocked AT&T model so I am patiently waiting for the OTA update.

I'm in the same exact situation as you. It's annoying because I have to take the extra step to turn the bloody thing off manually. I might call BlackBerry support tomorrow simply to report it.

You can call your network and get them to disable it on your account

Just curious, why do you want to turn it off?

I have unlimited data and voice and also have the same options when I travel overseas so I don't need the WiFi calling option and it should NOT be enabled by default.

I dont use many minutes but i find it useful when at home, which apparently is built on an ancient Indian signal ground and i cant get network.

But it shouldnt be enabled by default. As far as i know every other device has to have the user enable it, i havent played with the Priv to test it out in that respect

Not my question to answer, but in my experience if you are about to leave your residence mid-phone call, the transition to cellular is not always seamless and you will have a dropped call. This could be something that has been fixed but I was in the middle of a conference call once and had to step outside only to have to deal with the inconvenience of a dropped call.

It was my understanding that near seamless hand-off was a key feature of WiFi calling.
I use VoIP over the top and have come to terms with the fact that the call will drop when I go from WiFi to cellular or vice versa.
For me its no hardship at all.

Maybe so, I need to investigate this further then. It never used to be that way when WiFi calling was in its infancy.
