Silent Circle obviously have teamed up with 1010 to launch Blackphone 2 in HK. Saw pics of launch event. No word on official launch of Priv in HK?

1010 has the Priv on its site and listed at MSRP. But you have to go in and look for it, not like it's prominently displayed. From the specs I can't make out whether this is the wireless charging version. Looks like it's not.

Judging from the mass market preference in this town, I think BP will struggle to gain traction. Neither do I think corporate IT buyers may put it one notch higher than BlackBerry.

I wish them success though. We deserve more secure devices to choose from. Don't want to go back to my 9800. Fact that we actually see a BP2 after BP1 is already a small miracle in my view.

I checked CSL's website, they don't even list wireless charging even for the S6 Edge+, but I think it does.

Here's the Priv datasheet from CSL: http://www.hkcsl.com/u/cms/pccw/img/...n_Sheet_v2.pdf

Looks like STV100-3. And it's built in Mexico?

Where are the pre-orders taking place? Are there any discounts for the pre-orders?

I checked the CSL website but I do not see any pre-order options. Is it an in-store thing?

Likely. Online shopping for phones aren't that common as far as I know. Everybody just goes down to Mongkok.

interestingly, even Blackberry officially announced Priv will be available through several mobile carriers, or different retailers,
so far I saw almost nothing from these mobile carriers (except CSL) & retailers

How am I not surprised?! You may stand better chance at 1010's shop in Central. They had a dedicated area for the Z10 launch.

PM me if you want the link for the event.
