My priv screen is cracked but it works ok,my question is ,can I get away with just replacing the glass or I need to replace the whole screen? I ask because the whole screen is too expensive to replace but I see that I can buy the glass really cheap on ebay ,any suggestions?

I think you may be seeing glass screen protectors and that won't fix your cracked screen. You will need to replace the screen with the digitizer itself and that is a bit pricey right now. Do you have insurance through your carrier?

I see, I guess I'm stuck with a cracked screen or a new phone since I definitely not paying close to 300 for a new screen.

They do sell just the glass but from a couple tear downs I have see, it looks nearly impossible to separate the glass from the digitizer.

Maybe try one of the acrylic hard screen protectors. If the crack isn't affecting the screen performance, at least you will have a smooth outer shell.

I don't think so. I just replaced mine for about $300, here in Toronto. They replaced the entire top slider with a brand new part.

I wouldn't be surprised to see priv going for $200 or so soon, new in the box. I'd maybe try to hold out for a deal on a brand new vs. Replacing a screen in that price range.

I just bought the glass its self.
Will update you on if I can find someone who will replace it.

Do not try replacing the glass only on your own unless your a pro with tools.

Have you manage to get this sorted using your LCD screen.
I ask because I too have cracked my screen and have bought a LCD replacement.
Only issue is no phone shop here in the UK can fix it.

No one will touch just the lcd with glass.
They all say its to complicated to separate the frame from the lcd due to the curves.
