We had a symposium at our Head Office and the Bell Canada rep was showing it off. I was so impressed with how thin it is in person. It is beefy in terms of weight but the quality of assembly is stunning. It takes a bold company to do what BlackBerry did and I have to say I am impressed.

I am just not sure of I could part with my Passport though. BB10 is just too far ahead of its time. And people just want what the mass media thinks is popular. BlackBerry did the right thing but I hope and pray that they can somehow keep BlackBerry 10 going for the rest of us.

Oh and one thing of interest, they weighted it to be bottom heavy when closed but it goes to a neutral weight when the screen slides up. Now that is impressive. Passport and Priv show that BlackBerry does not lack for innovation. Force Touch my arse, BlackBerry did that already and abandoned because it is silly and really is not intuitive.

Well said. It's a pity the masses don't see it this way.

Are you sure that was a live one? and not the dummy one that doesn't do anything? I played with the dummy today and all the screens look exactly the same as your photos LOL and every single screen is the same on all of your pics Got to play with a demo PRIV today-20151104_141549.jpg

Edit: I see that it doesn't save a live demo on it.

I think the OP can differentiate if the demo unit is dummy or live. But the screen posted by the OP is the same as above.

Yes I have large hands. I frequently one thumb type on my Passport. LOL.

As I said it was a demo, and therfore quite dead. All other aspects according to the rep are identical to the real thing. Size, weight, and feel are apparently identical.

Ahhh heck, today is the 6th so the embargo is lifted and my post will be relegated to irrelevancy anyways. I just thought that people would like to see more pictures of Priv and some hands on feel of it.

Doesn't really matter. If the rep had it out for show and tell then that means they're ramping up to sell the device.

Thanks for sharing OP! I think it's safe for me to say I was playing with a live demo model a few weeks back before the Priv was ever announced and even at that iteration of the device, it was pretty stunning. I hear production models will be at iteration 6 at launch, so you know BlackBerry has worked extremely hard at refining the product.
