    Is anyone experiencing significant battery usage from Google Play Services? My phone is reporting that it is the #1 battery usage. This has just happened suddenly. I have turned off location services, cleared the cached data on it, and hard rebooted a few times.

    Yes sir. Latest and greatest. The only thing I have not done is uninstall Google Play Services updates and re-install. Last option is to factory the phone but that's the nuclear option.

    Thing that drives me nuts about Android is that it seems to be something different that drains my battery fairly regularly. Yesterday it was Bluetooth and DTek draining me from 80% to 22% in 2-3 hours. Last week it was Facebook. Ug!

    I share the frustration but the phone was pretty solid after the Marshmallow upgrade. It might be with some new apps I downloaded or it could be the upgrades that came through recently but it is a pain to trace.

    My BBM suddenly seems to be my battery today. Its "keep awake" is at 8 hours. But the thing is.. I haven't used it today at all!

    My problem is the doze function no longer works, something is running with "keep alive", and I can tell since the battery drains (albeit slower) through idle periods while analyzing the graphs. I've used Greenify and hibernated all the apps to correct it but still no dice.

    Doze doesn't work because something (likely Google Play Services) is keeping the phone engaged.
