    That update did nothing to correct the problem. It's starting to get annoying having to mark these msg's as read!

    It looks like the Hub does not recognize when the txt is read. Perhaps the fix will be in the next hub release? If you perform that steps I outlined earlier in this thread, the problem will be resolved.

    I know that it's not a big deal but I found this issue to be a pita which is why I reverted to the prior release. I

    Sounds like there may be a new batch of BlackBerry App updates rolling out as we speak... maybe this will help. Haven't got the update notifications yet though.

    I don't think this is the first time that Google had made an update that has broken API communication. It just stinks that BlackBerry will be the one stuck with needing to "fix" it.

    FWIW, I use Yaata.

    I don't think BlackBerry can fix it. It's a Google Messenger problem I think.

    Since the Messenger update, I am seeing three additional accounts on my Hub. I have no idea what they do. It also reads CARD 1 below Text Messages. The Hub is unbearably slow now as well since this update.

    I did not notice a slowdown. Message just don't show as read...

    Yes this has resolved the unread SMS' in the Hub. The Hub is still awfully laggy for me though.

    I'm not messing with those steps for the HUB, I'll wait for another update. But this worked for speeding things up!

    Is it possible to download another text messaging app to make this issue go away for now and revert back once the update appears? I'm a little leery going through the process of downloading an apk file to revert back to the previous version of googles messaging app

    Yes. I use Yaata for SMS (and have been for a long time).
