Here are many threads about SD-cards not working but is there crowd experience about which SDXC Card is working flawlessly with the PRIV?
I learnt so far Priv's Snapdragon-808 interface is
    * UHS-I capable which includes
    * speedclass U1 & U3 (min 30MB/s write) - which is good if you let camera write videos to sdcard.

    My szenario will be:
    * SDXC card 64GB++ using "MS exFAT-driver by BB"
    * Marshmallow using it as usual storage to plug-out (NOT adopted)
    * beeing able to read/write it externally with PC with Windows 7++
    * Solid Explorer as filemanager
    * should be faaaast: read and write (anyone with A1 SD Bench results?) -

Any suggestions which are prooved to be working with PRIV?

Using this one right now after my POS ADATA died. GoPro recommends this one so speed wise it should be decent. Heard Sandisk Extreme (Pro) is faster but not really worth the price difference for the marginal gain.

Price matched Best Buy when it dropped to $29.

Well A1 Bench says my Privs internal memory speed is:
    Blackberry STV100-4
1.44 GHz v6.0.1 Accurate benchmark (Accurate Benchmark results)
    24,436MB Memory
    R:117.67MB/s
    W:127.17MB/s

So perhaps the UHS-I U3 with 90MB/s write is worth it for me

I would avoid the lexar micro sd cards. After only a few months of use mine got stuck as "read only" , I got it replaced on warranty, but I had only been using the replacement a few months before it had the same problem.

I've used 2 types with no problems: 128 GB SanDisk Ultra UHS 1 Class 10 from shop CrackBerry and a 128 GB Samsung Pro+ UHS 3 Class 10. The Samsung has higher read and write speeds. Since the MM update I got these working with no need for a 3rd party file manager.

Perhaps, but here's what smcv said about the subject-matter:
Don't spend extra money on UHS-II, since it requires a second row of pins on the connector that Priv does not have. It would only run at UHS-I rates.

There are UHS-I (correct connectors) micro-sd cards with U3 (30MB+write up to 90MB) speed as well - as SMCV pointed out in posting after that and marzfreerider above also (just mixing up UHS-x and Ux).

So like marzfreerider wrote it seems Priv is able to use the extra speed of U3 and they are working.

    Thx for all the input.

I think smcv has mentioned a UHS-II card would be a waste on the Priv, because the hardware wouldn't support it.

    UHS-1 U3 yes, but not UHS-II.

There not an "bus interface type" called UHS-III (so far):
    https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/cho...ace/index.html

It is most often mixed up with U3 the "speed class" for UHS interface.
    https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/cho...***/index.html

And if this wasn't enough chaos there is also a "spec version" called SD3 or SD3.01 which is referenced in PRIV/Snapdragon 808 specs as well. This 'SD3' tells again that PRIV uses UHS-I interface:
    Last column:https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/cho...ace/index.html

If this UHS-I / U3 / SD3 interface in PRIV can manage full speed of those cards like 90MBps read AND write (on Samsung Pro+ or SanDisk Extreme Pro) is yet to be proven.

So now i got myself an SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDXC 64GB UHS-I U3 which is capable of 95MB/s read and 90MB/s write.

As pluggable uncrypted storage i get around 81-86MB/s read and 65-70MB/s write in accurate test with 'A1 SD Bench'.

So when copying files to and from our Priv will we achieve these speeds?
I don't get it & it I've been reading over the past couple of nights.

These speeds are all across the internal bus; to a computer is still subject to USB 2.0 (which tops out at 60 MB/s if the planets are in the right alignment).

ok, how important is random 4K read/write performance when used as external storage?

Will it load pictures from an app faster or transfer files to the SD card faster from the internal memory or is that based on sequential speed?

So do we need to look at random read / write performance?

Last week, I got myself SanDisk Extreme Plus microSDXC UHS-I Card 64G U3 4K UHD, read up to 95 MB/s, and write up to 90 MB/s. The Priv does not allow me to save photos on it from my camera.

My Priv finally asked me to download Microsoft exFAT App. Now, I can finally save my photos to the SD card.

I stumbled across this write up for what are claimed to be the "fastest" SDXC cards, courtesy of the web page Have Camera Will Travel a pretty decent photograpghy site. I'll post up the link here:
