Many early users of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 have reported severe issues with the display. Being scratched out of the box and / or dead pixels.

Knowing or hearing that this display is going to be the one used in the Slider, I hope that BlackBerry is going to either use other display or address the issues mentioned in the article

That's just an issue because this display is being used for the first time. By the time the bb10 slider is out, they will have fixed any issues

I personally think a curved screen should not be used. I have see the S6 Edge in store and there's some funky colour distortion right where the screen curves and it's quite evidence on white pages.

Every time I see the S6 Edge, it makes me wonder if the cell phone industry is running out of ideas. I mean come one the next big thing is here, is getting old really quick. But I think I remember that Samsung made the parts to be used in the iPhone 3GS. I personally think that was the best made iPhone to date.

Have you seen the commercial? First two things that come to mind are additional indicators besides the single LED BB phones have, and being able to swipe in from the side to respond to the different notifications.

There is no commercial regarding neither the slider nor its curve screen. Personally, I dont like curve screen at all because:
1st: it would make user touching the screen by mistake.
2nd: it will increase the production cost, hence, the price
3nd: no screen protector can cover the curved area. Not a good thing for a person like me

Samsung has sold millions of handsets, and your talking about a smaller % of users experiencing some sort of failure rate. This is not a widespread issue by any means.
