With all the rumors floating around here, should the future buyers be concerned about the update cycle. In a worst case scenario, where BB drops hw production and focuses on enterprise software, will this impact much the support for the priv?
This is their first android phone and we don't know how well it will be received by the mere mortals that dream of iphones, so I wounder if it fails how they will handle the support since probably no other phones will come out of the assembly line.

I know the phone doesn't even have a release date set yet, but I can't help wonder what will happen if the sales fail.

Honestly? as long as it has the Stagefright patches already included, no. I'm not worried about it. After using Lollipop for the past few months, i see no reason to worry about updates. But i'm a creature of habit & would prefer not to change if i can.
