    Is there a built-in file manager and photo gallery on the Priv? Recommendations if not?

    No there isn't. You can use Google photos and download a file manager or there are other picture managers in the Play store.

    Google replaced the old Gallery app with their new Photos app. Why they did so before the new Photos app had all the same functionality of the old Gallery app :shrug: who knows. Photos has its own special uses, but as a Gallery app it's not all that great. There are tons of really good Gallery apps in the plaly store though. As for file managers, I personally use ES File Explorer.

    ES File Manager is what I use too... even on my passport.

    For photos, QuickPic Gallery is what I use on Android.
