Has anyone found an android app to replace fasttube or Downtube that's would allow us to preload youtube apps?
I understand youtube allows you to pay for this feature now, but I don't use it often enough to pay for that feature.
Thanks!

SuperTube in BlackBerry World is pretty good.

LOLOL, all the years people talked about how BB10 was true multitasking because it could play Youtube in the background when in fact it didn't have a Youtube app which is the only reason it could. Now with a true YouTube app you lose that functionality unless you want to pay for it. Priceless.
Oh there're so many way and app to do that, just search what you looking for at google ;) beauty of android : almost everything can be patched and lots of app (ads and security compromised of course) lol
No I'm aware of that. It's the same for every platform. For years though people ranted about how BB10 offered true multitasking because it could play YouTube videos in the background, when in fact the only reason it could was because it didn't have an official YouTube app., which any other platform could also use that same functionality (meaning using the Web page would allow videos to play in the background). With the official YouTube app on Android you can't do it unless you want to pay for it.
Then some people will start whining bb10 is better in utube playing and android is the worst os ;p
Probably.
SnapTube

Wtf are you talking about.
I am typing this while playing youtube in the background
Did you just attempt to hijack this thread?

Dude, can you read? I'm sure you are typing while listening to YouTube in the background. You know why? Because BB10 doesn't have a YouTube app. You have a web shortcut. Period, done. Understand?
The fact that there's not a youtube app isn't the point.. under android you can watch youtube in browser but it is suspended when not in active use, and thus pauses.
OGYoutube or the like can resolve that, mind.
Don''t use the Chrome browser.
Android is the worst os, YouTube aside. That said, these snarky comments from either side just make the ones doing it look like a bunch of mean high school kids.
Posted with my still awesome z30.
Can you read the OP?
Where the f did you get to thinking he was asking about multitasking?
I feel sorry for those around you

HAHAHAHAHA, from his post. You can go back to playing YouTube in the background with your non-YouTube app like every other platform can do. Well done.
I am a long time Android user and like this modded YouTube app very much. Not only does it provide video downloading and background playback but also playback in a floating window. What you say now @donnation?
Get the app here (please follow the instructions, you must disable the original YouTube app for this to install successfully):
[APP][MOD]OGYouTube v1.0 Downloader, Popup/B€ | Android Development and Hacking | XDA Forums
Please note that the developer is working on logging in with your account, this doesn't work right now.
I don't think you understand. I am fully aware that many non native YouTube apps can play in the background. Great! Its awesome!! THE NATIVE YOUTUBE APP CAN'T, WHICH WAS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE CONVERSATION. People with BB10 phones since they were launched thought they were using a native YouTube app and that they were getting true "multitasking" because they could play videos in the background. They can't and they weren't because they were never using a native Youtube App. All of the other platforms can do the same thing with a non-native YouTube app or the web shortcut that BB10 uses.
This is the native YouTube app, modded but native.
I think you should seek immediate medical attention. You my be having a stroke
