The price on amazon reflects a few things, but namely when they have too many in stock, they sell at a lower price. If demand is healthy, you will see it closer to the price on SBB

It is unfortunate. The issue is some sellers just have no idea of the difference between sim-unlocked (carrier branded) and factory unlocked. Other sellers might know the difference but don't advertise the fact that it is still and AT&T phone regarding upgrades even if it can be used on other carriers. In the latter case, it would be somewhat deceptive but "buyer beware."

Agree. However Blackberry can fix this issue if they keep their promise to make the att phobes able to get the updates without going through att. I hope one day they can do that. But i doubt att will let something like this happen. It seems like att is giving a hard time to bb
