    Hi,

    For the last couple of weeks the Facebook app has crashed everytime I use it.

    I load it and start scrolling, and it comes up with 'Facebook isn't responding. Do you want to close it?' It's random when it does it, but it's everytime I open it.

    I am running a blackberry priv which has the most up to date system update and the Facebook app is the most up to date one also.

    I have Googled this so I have cleared the cache and data, restarted phone as well as ensuring everything is up to date but all no use and the problem persists.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Can confirm. Seems to be some background process. When scrolling through Facebook, every couple of seconds the message of the app being closed pops up (though the main app stays alive).

    I forced closed Facebook and cleared the entire app cache (2.4 GB... I should do this more often).
    That seemed to help for half an hour or so.

    More of a suggested workaround. Otherwise likely need to take more drastic measures like a factory reset.

    Try actually cleaning out all the Facebook files vs. just uninstalling and clearing the cache. Even that leaves the folders behind. You can do it with any file manager of SD Maid.

    get rid of FB app... use one of these:

    FB Lite
    FB browser interface
    Metal

    I use the latter... has messenger in it, so

    I have the same problem too... tried uninstalling, reboot etc but nothing... will see if there is anything else to do

    I am having the same problem, I wonder if this is part of the whole planned obsolescence thing that cell phones have.

    I also downloaded Facebook Lite, but it doesn't look the same and will take a while to get used to.

    I experienced same , but only while 4 weeks travelling in different time zone
    now back home all is good
    anyone can confirm the error with differnten time zone setting ?
