Anyone knows of a good alternative for the Facebook app? I was previously using Chrome for fb and fb messages. But just today, it doesn't allow me to view my messages at all unless I download 3 messenger app, which I don't wanna use cos it keeps my device awake all day.

    Facebook Lite?

But if I'm not mistaken, they even split that one into two apps; it used to be just one 400 KB app for messages and the other stuff.

"Swipe for Facebook Pro" is what I use. Has Messenger integration and is customizable. You can try "Metal Pro" too. Both are pretty cool Facebook alternatives.

Metal has a free version, too. The Pro version packs an extra theme.

Another one for Swipe. I immediately paid for the pro version. Battery life is soooooooooooooooooooo much better. It's indescribable. Also love that I can use messenger in the app.

If you don't care about notifications, you can just use the browser version like us lowly BB10 users have to. m.facebook.com

Do these options deliver notifications to the hub?

Metal delivers notifications to the Hub--but it is through whatever email address associated with your account. It also does system notifications, which I have disabled.

An edit to my post above: you can get SMS notifications from FB if you use the mobile browser version. So technically you can get notifications in the hub via SMS even if you use the browser version.
