Anyone have experience with the Set up nearby device option in android? I'm spending part of an unexpected bonus to get a factory unlocked Priv from ShopBB to replace my AT&T version and came across this option when researching backup / retore options.

    Any gotchas?

    TIA.

Make sure your devices are charged as the data transfer will take some time..... And there's a good chance it'll fail anyway. I've yet to have it work right.

I actually used to transfer my original Priv to my replacement Priv just fine... This is the NFC tap transfer right?

Could not get the old Priv to find the new one during the Set Up Nearby Devices process, even though I paired them.

After about 3 factory resets, I finally got the tap and go (NFC) to work. Several hours later, my new Priv is almost to the same place as the old.

UNFORTUNATELY, the new Priv (if I'm reading the box correctly) has a manufacture date of 4/2015! I think this one is older that the one I already have and I am not sure this is a keeper. Not what I was hoping for. Less battery life than before, if the first day is any indication.

I believe the date format is dd/mm/year. I don't think the Priv was around in April 2015 but I could be wrong.
