    Agree, not buying a phone based on its name is just ridiculous. Maybe as ridiculous as the name itself..

    Speaking about that, of this turns out to be true, I'll just refer to it as the 'BlackBerry running Android' or 'BlackBerry Slider' when talking about it

    A product name is marketing.

    Week marketing staff = weak marketing.
    Weak marketing = low sales.
    Low sales = low revenue.
    Low revenue = lay offs, slow brand growth, low to no R&D and being passed by competition.

    Sales is the fuel that powers the machine. And yes, product names directly impact product sales.

    Except the H in HIV stands for Human, so an Android HIV makes no sense, much like the BB10 diehards here.
