One way to eliminate lag is to turn off animations. These may look cool but they do slow down performance. My Priv does not lag for this very reason.
Not all kind of lag is from the animations. Have a look at this video at 3:05 when he starts scrolling.

No it isn't. The codename change from Rome to Mercury was a clear indicator.

American City Names = BB10, BlackBerry Designed
Euro City Names = Android, BlackBerry Designed
    Chemical Elements = Android, Outsourced
Wait, I'm confused. The Neon and Argon were TCL reference designs, but the Mercury has to be a BlackBerry design because they're using their PKB, right? They can't just piggyback on another device and slap a different cover with their logo on the back, no?

Yes it's the end of an Era BUT i do have faith that there will be better and much more high end BlackBerry devices albeit manufactured by a third party company. Designer luxury brands do thus why not BlackBerry!?

For example Luxottica manufactures pretty much all of the luxury brand eye glasses and sunglasses that you and I wear. They are not made by the designer.

Probably, probably not, who knows at this point. I do remember a whole back there were talks about "Rome becoming Mercury".

Or maybe like Mr. Knight said it doesn't even exist and we're all crazy and delusional.

Also, Android has more multi tasking capabilities than iOS. Don't you love how apple tells people to turn Background App Refresh off. Yeah. Funny how Android and Blackberry 10 have no such option. The PlayBook did as I recall when you could "pause" apps instead of "showcase". So yeah it may stutter, but Android and Blackberry 10 are vastly superior OS's to iOS which is a specialist at Pause and Run concept. Android Marshmallow on the Priv was such an improvement and Nougat will be even better.

And likely the only Project Avenger phone that actually made it out the door. Passport SE didn't really count, like you said it was originally Windmere4.
