i have no issues with the priv on paper for specs, even price doesnt seem to matter, if it did i would wait a month or two and get it from craigslist

but i dont think i could go back to typing on such a narrow screen... anyone else concerned about this? i like the two hand typing, and always did it even on old phones with keyboards. passport just gives me more room so it is comfortable

Good point. Had no idea how good the wide thing is until I bought a moto e to fill my app needs as an extra phone to kick around. It's much better to have the Passport aspect ratio.

If... if... they sell the Priv would be cool to release an Android Passport. People would go crazy for that.

You'll get use to it. I go back and forth from a z3c (4.6 inch screen) to a note 4 (5.7 inch) and if I'm ever feeling reminiscent, I'll pull out my Droid Pro (3.1 inch)

I'm mainly looking forward to the physical keyboard since it won't be so wide to type on and hopefully better.

I have been carrying a Passport and a Classic . . . it is a little easier for me to type on a Passport than on a Classic.

the note 4 isn't easy to type on though...

well, I found passport easier anyways, you might disagree

on narrow phones, even back before passport, it always felt like I was holding an old gameboy... in that I had to hold both thumbs so close together. I didn't realize I hated it until I got the passport...

I've been off my passport since July so I could use an iphone 6 to see if I can see the same issues with our exchange server as our c level types. I just switch back to my passport and my thumbs are a bit sore.

I don't think it will be that hard to go to the pric to me honest but I want the BlackBerry Hub on the priv to be exceptional. The lack of a hub in ios finally turned me off enoguh to go back to my passport. The only thing I miss on the iphone is the camera. The passport is soooo slo to focus properly.

It's gonna take some getting use to. I tried using my Z30 after I had gotten my Passport and eventually I just gave it away. Nothing compares to the Passport.

One aspect they will definitely help in using the Slider is the "want to" factor. If I really "want to" give it a fair chance then that will help alleviate any frustration that comes with learning how to do the same functions differently on this device.

One of the main reasons I've never been able to switch from a BlackBerry (besides the fact that it serves my purposes) is the vast difference in using another platform. The form factor of the Passport only accentuates those differences. In a perfect world the Passport form factor would live on forever. But much like BlackBerry 10, they both are a little ahead of their times and they never caught on mainstream.

I never said it was but, I'll tell you one thing, it's a lot better typing one handed on the note four than the passport. Especially since you can shift the entire onscreen keyboard to one side of the screen and type away with just one hand.

The fact that I had to struggle to reach the other side of the keyboard when using the passport one handed was a hammer for me. But that's just me though.

I always loved the form factor of the curve and Treo. The keypad being as small as it was meant that you could type faster, less travel when moving tour thumb from one finger to the next.

It's kind of why I never liked phones with landscape style keyboards, they were just to wide.

I'm not bashing the passport, I loved that thing if it handled Google services better I probably would have kept it.

I enjoyed the form factor of the Passport. If they'd also offered the Passport with the same specs (I.e. 808, 3GB RAM, same camera as the Priv), secure version of Android, I think I would've ordered that instead.

Coming from the Passport I am curious how I will adapt to going back to a narrow phone.

Not sure how I would adjust, but I'm sure going to find out!

This is also my highest concern!
But after some second thoughts I am sold for the Priv, because I always like to use the latest model and at last with the Priv we are going to have a biggest screen surface than in the Passport, I think about 10%.

I would be ok to move to a more narrow screen. Sometimes the Passport is just a little to wide. But I love the suberb audio quality.
