I do miss the swipe to wake on BB10. But give a little take a little.

Double tap works great for me, especially with the flip leather case. The window allows me to tap and view notifications without turning the whole screen on
I do miss the swipe up as well. I wonder whether BB could implement it as an option
i wouldn't worry about it too much, my wife's LG G3 does that sometimes...i double tap to wake up but nothing...then comes the double smack
I can't say that that has been my experience. Works almost all the time with a few misfires.
