Hello all. I have a Priv on the Rogers network. I like the phone, but have not been able to use bass boost in Google play music.

Just wondering if other Priv owners are having the same issue?

(I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps with BlackBerry)

    Thanks

I've been talking with BlackBerry tech support for a week now about this. I will be seriously upset if it turns out they intentionally disabled it!

The equalizer and bass boost in Poweramp works fine if you're willing to give that App a try.

I think the bass control on that app is essentially the 60hz frequency isolated which is different than an actual "bass boost" function as it tweaks several frequencies at once. I've tried a whack of different apps like bass boost power equalizer. I actually get the attached message from one of the apps.

I have to say though, PowerAmp is now my fav player!

Sure, then stay with your patched Apps and obsolete runtime then.

I'm already ahead of with that and my new Passport and Z30. Enjoy the Google Spies following your every move like Twitter. Sure BlackBerry claimed to have secured it but I'll take my chances with a BB10 device. And I can do quiet well without apps. Been going good thus far, Sucka!

I was wondering why my disposable Leap had much better headphone performance..

I hope this is a software thing they can improve on.. I use my phone for calls messaging, email and music so that would be nice..

Black player music app says Priv doesn't support bass boost. How do you attach pictures using Google Chrome browser on the Priv?

I literally hate the sound performance of my Priv. It is way too low, only the Bluetooth devices with an on device volume rocker seem to give high volumes. Blackberry should address this issue. Device running warm or etc are things I can tolerate but low volume I can't forgive.
