Yes, you can live with the Android version. It's much more developed than BlackBerry 10's.

Amazon app store sometimes gives away free premium keys, so be on the lookout Christmas giveaways are coming.
Use the actual Office apps from Microsoft: that way you'll have full functionality.

Can someone who purchased Docs togo Premium tell me about the possibilities in regards to point 1-5?
Depending on the replies, I might purchase it for12.00 Euro's!
Thanxs!
Can somebody who has this app kindly throw me a bone and reply to the questions?
12,00 Euro is a lot of money only to find out if point 1-5 is possible. :crying:
One fellow member already confirmed that #5 is easily done.
Official Microsoft Office Apps for mobiles (iOS, Android) must have a valid O365 subscription for full functionality....

Thanks for all the helpful replies in this thread on my questions.;) You guys really came through for me. I appreciate it.;) I hope more power users of this app will chime in to discuss after my review of this app.;)
I ended up purchasing the app for EUR ~12,00 and will answer my own questions for those who were also wondering.
+ Click and hold is available: ,,, are shown.1.You could not click and hold a letter any longer and then scroll the track pad up (keyboard track pad now with the Priv?),down, side to get an umlaut, acute accent and such.
+ Keyboard-tochpad can be used to select.
- No capital letters for ,, are available.
- It is still not possible to rename files in a simple manner. There is no option for it within a document after clicking on the menu button. One can only click on "save as"----> change the file name---->delete old file. There is also no option to rename when click and hold on any file in the overview of all your files. When you click and hold on a file it only gives one 3 options: Delete, Info, Send. I like to see the option available after opening a document but also by click and holding a file in the overview section.2.File names cannot be simply renamed any longer other than re-saving under a new name and then deleting old file.
Workaround: opening your file manager and renaming there. This is not productive from a power user p.o.v.
+Yes, you can change the format/font default. MS Word 97-2014 or MS Word 07-2013. Times New Roman is also an option. No need to change it for every newly created file.3.There were no possibilities any longer like it was with OS7 to change default settings---->(document)options---->Format for new Word files: MS Word 97-2004; same for Excel, PowerPoint. And also with their OS 10 app it was no longer possible to set default settings to Times New Roman 10/12. All my old docs are Times new Roman 12. So every time I create a new doc file I have to change everything again
+ Yes, line spacing can be changed by either setting the default settings to MS Word 97-2014 or by manually changing it. It is an option to change this within the app.4. Change default settings in regards to line spacing. None of the hundreds and hundreds of files have line spacing. I like to change it to 0.0.
- You need to grant access to the app to let it save files to the SD card.5. Simply and easily save files to newly created/edited files to the SD card.
Problem: You cannot delete files that are saved on SD card. I do not see an option to delete files after opening them. Menu button does not give a deletion possibility. Also not for files saved on phone memory.
In the overview section you can click and hold on a file. It gives 3 options: delete, info, send. Clicking on delete and yes (for a confirmation if you permanently want to delete the file) does nothing. File stays where it is. With files that are stored on your phone memory, file deletion is possible in this click and hold manner.
Workaround: opening a file manager and delete there. This is not productive from a power user p.o.v.
I noticed that there is another weird thing going on.
When you uninstall the app and re-install later all files that were stored on internal phone memory and on SD card will come back to life??!!
Why do they come back to life? Where are they being stashed when the app is uninstalled? Does Docs to go make an auto backup or store all your files on their cloud server (if any?).
Forget Docs to Go. Just install Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Simple.

I wish it was as simple as you think.....
Unlike Docs to go, Windows Word does NOT support saving to SD card ("Choose another location - You don't have the permission to save files to this location"). Saving Microsoft Word files to Memorycard does not work? - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com
I do not want to save it on the phone's memory as I had it happening more than few times with previous phones that I had to wipe the device for whatever reason and that all files were gone. Also, I have hundreds of documents that were written with the older Words software with .doc extensions, and they can ALL only be opened to read ("Read Only - You can't save changes to this file". Read Only - This is an older file format. To make changes, make a copy of the file in the new format"). I can't be bothered to changing this for hundreds of files. Also, Windows Word does not support to change default settings in regards to line spacing, New Times Roman font, font size, and generally creating files in the older format. This is a must for me. That said, Windows is worthless to all of my co-workers and me. I think Docs to go can be a fantastic app if only they find a way to positively change some of the things that are now not available/supported.
Solution was found later in that thread. See here:

Needs to be a specific location on the SD card. Not ideal, but works. I confirmed that I was able to save to that location on my SD card.
Use the real excel and word! I made the switch. All files need to be updated to docx but it will ask you. I have full version on my priv.

The excel and word on Google Play?????
I love the BB10 version of Docs to go. It really understood what was needed for writing on a small screen. The lack of navigation (book marks, top and bottom page options etc.) was my only real complaint. all the other office suites for android try and cram a desktop monitor functionality onto a small screen, often offering features that aren't practical for a phones eye view. Any one know of an app similiar to Doc to Go for Android?
I use Google Docs. Very simple and easy to use. About like docs to go.
Docs To Go is available on the Google play store as well as Google docs.
