    The snapdragon 808 supports LTE TDD (https://www.qualcomm.com/products/sn...processors/808). Is that what you are talking about?
    I'm not sure if some specific software support is needed to use it however

    The chipset can support it, but it still needs a specific version with the correct transceivers. Most phones have a specific TD-LTE version for the Chinese market only.

    If you use it in China you're better off getting the Euro version and running it China Unicom, which uses FD-LTE.

    China's LTE-TDD is a subset of Sprint's Band 41 LTE-TDD in which Most of the Asia-Pac has a LTE-TDD roaming agreement with Sprint and vice versa.

    There are no current BB's with LTE-TDD with exception of the Priv.

    How do you know? Just because the chipset supports it doesn't mean jack. Like I said it is still dependent on the transceiver configuration.

    I know for I actively go looking in the FCC OET files to check out what phones are using what bands on LTE, and right now there is only one carrier in the US out of 2 that actually have LTE-TDD, Sprint and AT&T. It must be approved by the FCC first to be used here which os the best place to look. Oh by the way Sprint is the only one out of the 2 that have LTE-TDD live right now with carrier aggregation working.

    I noticed that in Chinese website, they listed BlackBerry Priv as "China Mobile 4G". And all other BlackBerry cell phones are listed as "China Unicom 3G". I hope that is accurate. That would be the first phone for China Mobile 4G!

    I don't think the consumer in China can switch carrier with number. It is a big deal for them to change phone numbers.

    It turns out that at least one of Priv model does support China Mobile TD-LTE. Not sure how those Chinese website was able to tell that back then. Maybe they know something we don't know. Haha.

    Probably. On pdadb.net, stv100-3 is labeled RIM BlackBerry Priv STV100-3 TD-LTE (RIM Venice)

    Just saw a post in HK, STV100-3 supports LTE 38, 40, 41. Band 39 is missing. The LTE services of China Mobile in some part of China is mainly band 39... I don't know if that is the case or not.

    Not sure if you can read Chinese but this article states China Mobile primarily uses 38, 39 is not in use.

    Tell me about it. My wife bought me a Passport in HK last year, but my number for the past 12 years has been China Mobile and I can't change it. Everything is linked. So I am stuck on China Mobile 2G for the most part, and rely on wifi. Horrible.

    Anyway, I noticed that my Blackberry Passport SQW100-1 doesn't give me a 4G option in the settings anyway. Not sure if it is because of the carrier and SIM, but I thought it would be there in the options at least.

    China Mobile or China Unicom? There's no way TD-SCDMA for China Mobile is supported, only TD-LTE. Unless it's China Mobile Hong Kong, which is UMTS.
