It's happened a couple of times now but I can't put my finger on it.

It looks like some gremlins have pulled the fuse on a few circuits which makes the screen flicker (oh God not this again!)

I've also experienced an unstable front facing camera which I have already reported. That as well has flickering (God are we really going there again) when it's being used but only when the core is warm or if the camera is causing the cpu to overheat.

Nothing to report with the 18MP.

Do you have adaptive brightness turned on? In settings/display?

Turn it off if you have it on. It messes with battery life.

My htc has random brightness. Some apps have self control like my video player or the camera. It's just android.

Actually with those apps. The app over rides the adaptive brightness.
