    When using the keyboard to dial a phone number I get the following:

    Dial-->Result
    1-->9
    2-->3
    3-->7
    4-->7
    5-->3
    6-->3
    7-->9
    8-->9
    9-->2
    0-->0

    Anyone else getting this issue? Dialing a phone should be a pretty basic function. So many issues it's hard to believe they had many test units at all.

    Try reboot to safe mode by pressing the power button and long press on 'power off'

    Hi slowrvr,

    What is your "Current Keyboard" in Settings? The only way I can duplicate this is to have someone else's keyboard open. In which case there may be an issue with how that software keyboard is interpreting this keystroke. Also what happens if you press Alt+ the number key you want? That probably works - right? So, the other 3rd party software keyboard may not know that they field will auto-enter numbers.

    Anyway, let me know what keyboard you are using.

    Regards,
    Jay

    Current keyboard is the Blackberry keyboard. I've never downloaded any third party keyboard. When I use the Alt key, the correct digits show up.

    That reminds me of the alpha dialing on phones.

    Let's see if it works out.
    1=W - 9
    2=E - 3
    3=R - 7
    4=S - 7
    5=D - 3
    6=F - 3
    7=Z - 9
    8=X - 9
    9=C - 2
    0=0

    Yup matches. It is the alpha dial characters.
