Strange I have no Android apps or have ever had a need for any.
That's only you Brother. If BlackBerry could just clone you like 10 million times a year to buy up all the BB10 phones, they'd be set.

Make that 2, but I fall into the demographic of those who use a phone for the sole purpose of communication. Phone call, emails, and text. If I have to do work on the go, I would never use my cell phone for that; I have a Venue 11 Pro for that.

Anroid was their only way out of the app trap. Pure and simple. BB10 will fade out for that reason.

Would I prefer BB10, yes, but I'm ok with Android and being able to use all apps and services that were difficult if not impossible to use on BB10.

Apparently, you have indicated that your preference is the BlackBerry Priv. Good. So, what would you like your Priv to run?
    1) BBOS10
    2) Android
    3) IOS
    4) Windows

    BB10 100%
    Android being a distant second

BB10 is so quick, fluid, efficient, and included so many native apps (installed from factory) that are far superior to those on other devices. Why the hell does android require you to download a file manager app? Yeah because your want to give away access to all files on your device to some strange company.. The entire app centric philosophy is flawed, i much prefer the BlackBerry approach of giving you everything you want/need and apps being for advanced features, games or specialty purpose only.

BB10 would be awesome. I'm currently testing the Priv and Lumia 950. I can't help but miss the ease of use and features of BB10. My second preference would be Windows.

I love my Passport, and will most likely buy a Priv once the price has come down. Seeing the Passport and the Priv use the same size sim card will be nice. I will be able to switch from one to the other with ease. I hear the Priv camera is pretty good... I will continue to support BlackBerry with minimal compromise (if any) and still have fun.

I would prefer, that the BB10 and the Android are running on top of the QNX hypervisor, i.e. to have all together at the same time.

Ignore them and use some of the actually useful apps out of a selection of 1.5 million+.

You can't say its crap an OS with the biggest market share....
LOL, just because people mindlessly buy android based devices doesn't make android good.

Look back through history and you will find that just because "everyone is doing it" it doesn't mean that it doesn't suck.

I agree. Android devices (except for the really high end devices) are dirt cheap. You can get descent hardware for under $150. Does that make android great? If Apple made cheaper phones they would blow android right out of the water.

Android is an OS and not a device maker, so you should blame the phone makers and not the OS.

Honestly, I don't really care what my Priv runs, as long as it's something that results in the company doing well and continuing to compete. If android helps sales, then so be it. As a purist, I would definitely prefer OS10, but, not at the cost of the company going defunct.
I totally agree with this guy's view! Good point!
