They produced great phones that they demonstrated exceptionally well. The problem is the public had already moved on. It's like when you are dating someone and they have a bunch of issues and refuse to work on them until you are done with the relationship, they can turn themselves completely around and become the best potential partner you could ever imagine but you are done with them and don't care anymore. That's exactly what happened to BlackBerry

Not confirmed, but all the bb10 handsets have gone that way with the exception of the Z10.

I'm not doubting what you've seen. I'm doubting BlackBerry's ability to commit to a date. I realize that past evidence isn't always an indicator of future performance so once again I will reserve further judgment until tomorrow morning.

Might not even be necessary as it'll be revealed then. I would of revealed it by now but my job is at stake. Just wait 27hrs... wont be too long.

Agree that it wouldn't be necessary, just wanted to see what it says specifically. Either way I'll be checking in tomorrow, if nothing comes then oh well

But in all honesty they could of revealed it in August and brought it to market runing 5.1 a whole month sooner and update to 6.0 when it was available.

I still fault them for postponing and ruining a launch, they had the slider in some kind of a form in march... they just sat on their asses.

Chen is great, but he clearly doesn't understand the handset business, period.

An untrained monkey could do better, sorry.

this should should of released 810 or if were going to push it back then do 820+usb type C. I'm so tired of micro usb.. type C isn't hitting the market fast enough, sure we'll all need new cables but that's a small price to pay.

Looking forward to another botched event tomorrow, with them not doing this device justice and probably just revealing it without an actual event.

This is precisely what I am worried about, if there is even a launch at all. It could just be one of "oh and here is the new slider; it will be available in Canada and US starting November 10th, with other countries to follow". If the device is not on the market within 2 weeks of being announced, they blew it again. You will lose every single impulse shopper.

I can't even count how many ways I can see them screw this up. However, as I said, let's see how it goes. I'm not holding my breath.

There's issues with 810 and 810 v2, so no thanks same for 820 it's not in the market we don't know how it'll perform?

I've read abit about type c but couldn't read any advantage other then faster speeds and using a cable both ways?

They're not Motorola ^^ and I think 6.0 will be the OS it ships with because of the Android at Work things to come, they wouldn't be there in 5.1.
