Has anyone found a good dashboard holder for the Priv. I have tried a few but the side arms sit right at the volume down button which then lowers the volume to zero.

You can try looking at a few of these, there's at least five that won't touch the volume buttons. Not sure what kind of base you'd prefer so here's the lot of them. :rotfl:
I've used the Brodit (Pro Clip) for years and for multiple different phones. They are customized to fit each vehicle and phone. The product is very durable and holds the phone nice and snug, and nothing to adjust, the phone just slides in and out. There's even a version that comes integrated with a charger.
They are a tad more expensive but definitely worth it because they are top of the line. List*BlackBerry*Priv*|*Brodit
The retail site for the US is Car Phone Holders and Dashboard Phone Mounts*-*ProClip USA
My Proclip mount has been working great for the Priv. Once you get a good pedestal and dash mount, you can change out the phone mount easily, so the overall expense isn't terrible.
I picked up this one when I got my Passport, as width didn't matter.

It works great with my Priv as well. Cased or naked. And it obviously doesnt touch any buttons.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I will check out the suggested holders and make a choice.

This is what I use:

Have used a few from them... great products.

I couldn't see any that didn't seem to have "middle" supports. They all look like they'd hit PRIV volume buttons.
I just ordered a ProClip and mount. I am excited to finally have a guality mount after trying a few plastic cheapos. Thanks for the post.

Blackberry Priv on Etisalat 4G Network
Before you do, consider this one:

I'm using it for both my Passport SE and Priv and it works great, has good release mechanism and comes with 3 different mounting options and was very affordable.
Not sure how much it woukd cost from Amazon where you are.

I like that Brodit fixed mount one with the charging port. Any idea if it works with either of the BlackBerry cases?

That's the only downside to proclip/brodit mounts, they are designed specifically for each phone to fit snug in them so no cases will work. Because of this I use the smart flip case for my priv since it's the easiest to remove, so I just snap it off when I'm driving and pop it into the dash mount.
That's too bad. Thanks for the reply.

I use the brodit/proclip products as well, I have a holder for each of my blackberry's and I move the holder for whatever phone I am using into whatever car I choose to drive. I have each cradle attached to their locking "move" clip, so that's easy.
I *just* ordered a PRIV a few days ago, but i'm going to wait until it gets here and I choose a case. Proclip has "universal" models that adjust for width, but have the same slotted holders as the other clips they have, but with several thicknesses to accommodate phones.
So, once I choose a case for my PRIV, i'll just measure how thick and wide it is, then call up Proclip and get a universal that will accommodate the combination.
Voila, problem solved. I did the same thing for my Q10 back in the day.
