If you like smal phones that aren't capable of much but are easy to use, and have average screens, go for the iPhone.
If you like good things go for BlackBerry

Think about that question for a second. You're asking a blackberry forum if you should purchase a blackberry, or an iPhone..

Anyway, I think it all depends on what you plan to use the phone for.

You said you've been using a cheap android phone so getting a Priv would make you feel right at home since it's running Android. Not to mention that physical keyboard (main reason I'm buying one)

Now with the iPhone, it's built solid, user friendly OS, pretty smooth experience, somewhat limited compared to Android, and the lack of expandable storage could be a deal breaker for you.

I have a 128 gig SD card in my current phone and I'll load everything from movies to songs off Spotify so expandable memory is just handy to have.

Now the iPhone does tend to have more apps and more often than not, they're apps are pretty polished.

I remember when Google redesigned their Gmail app.. Guess who got it first? iOS

Anyway, let us know what you end up deciding on. Go drop by a score and try both phones and see what you like better. Good luck buddy.

True. But iCloud works very well and we also have sizeable storage on Box and Dropbox thanks to the BB10/Android giveaways a couple of years ago.

I had 3gs and 4s. I was happy when I had them but got bored of the ecosystem and UI so tried Z30... I don't miss my iPhone at all and with Priv now having official access to play store I have less reason to want iPhone ever again. My 2 cents..

Plus I never really liked the designs of 5 or 6 series. 4s was my favourite design they did

That makes no sense whatsoever.

If you don't like the size of the new iPhones, then why are you getting a Priv? It's the same size as the 6s Plus, and much bigger than the 5s.
Also if you don't like Android, then why would the Priv be one of your choices? It is Android.

to be honest, those two phones are so vastly different, I can't even imagine a comparison between them!
different style, different OS, different eco system!

First, figure out if you want iOS or Android, everything else is secondary at this point!
Then, figure out, if a PKB has value to you or not.

And also, if you already invested into the Android eco system, that also may be a thing to consider at this point!
