Looks cool thanks for the rendering. If this was the real deal, the top row of keys would be a little too close to the bottom of the device. Not being critical, just saying it needs to go down a cm

Hmm,.. I guess it depends on the scale. I'm watching my thumbs type on the Passport and I can see that they extend maybe a half a cm above the top row when they press on a top row key.
Looks like the render doesn't need the virtual fourth row the Passport relies on for symbols, so in that case it's not as important that the top row of real keys is as close as possible to the virtual fourth row (so that your thumb doesn't travel as much).
The beauty in BB's keyboards is in the key position/frets and tactile feedback offered by the 3D shape of the keys. Switching to a flat key design just to make a thin slider possible is silly. The slider is a failed concept. No one wants it aside from a few commenting here. All of one handed operation the beauty of flip typing is lost. Please don't release a slider BB. Just bring us an awesome all touch.
I really love this concept. Very well done. Hopefully the slider looks a lot like this concept because I am really loving this! This is one time I would say... Shut Up And Take My Money!
This concept rendering is different from the prototype shown at MWC in that the pull out keyboard section is entirely flat without the raised speaker grill which was visible at MWC even when the keyboard was fully closed.
