Cases for Priv

Something else to consider - what about cases for Priv?

Some concerns:

1) Because it is a slider, you can't use a simple bumper case

2) being a slider, it will need a 2 piece case - every 2 piece case I had for my 9810, the top (screen piece) kept popping off

3) with the curved edge glass screen, which to me is the most break prone part of the phone, any case that covers it will render the edge display useless (unless there are cutouts to allow the display to show - which will affect the protection provided)

4) none of the good case manufacturers will spend the $$$ to develop a case until they see how well it will be selling

5) considering the size of Priv, and the balancing/device grip issues when having the keyboard extended, this is a device that will be prone to being dropped, no matter how careful one is - so to me, a case is mandatory.

That is all correct. I would personally go case less, but I'm scared of scratching that big protruding camera.

So ill have to do screen protector, hopefully glass if I can find one, and just a half case for the back to raise the camera up off surfaces

I think the curved edge of the screen is the most vulnerable (and same issue for the Samsung Edge) - a screen protector or a back only case won't help.
