I feel like the Priv cases are going to be awful(aesthetically) due to the slide mechanism, hopefully I'm wrong. Unfortunately I think I need a case. I had my z30 out of its case over the weekend and I dropped it once, leaving a few dings on the thin plastic bezel and it is bothering the heck out of me. I keep thumbing it to assess the extent of the damage 'yep, it's there'.
Anyway, onto my question :
Besides babying the naked Priv all day, week, year, is there anyone who has mastered the art of keeping a naked phone and cares to share any tips?
My Z10 has been naked for over 2 years now. Still looks perfect. I think part of my success is due to the fact that I don't keep it in my pocket a lot, thus reducing the number of times taking it in and out. I put it on top of my desk or leave it on the counter most of the time. When I go on vacation and travel I do put in in a sleeve. Plan on doing the same with the Priv.
I like the 'no pocket' rule. I think that could work, but does that mean it is in your hand or on your desk at all times? Would it be to much to buy a camera-style loop and dangle it from my neck?
My Z10 has never been in a case and its been dropped a hell of a lot too, still looks pretty new though and I've had it since its release.
I can't really deal with cases, they tend to look hideous and just add weight. I also can't stand screen 'protectors', again, they look hideous and I've not had one on my Z10 and there's barely a scratch on the screen.
A case for a slider could be interesting depending how it's done. Will be interesting to see when they start coming out. For me to get the priv Verizon would have to pick it up first. I'll worry about cases later. a sheath type or sleeve in a nice soft leather might be an option I'd consider.
You should buy a 95$ warranty at costco (Bell or Rogers in Canada) warranty allow you to change damage phone 4 times in 2 years with 50$ fee....you save on the case and tt have a Nice device
