Hi,

I am looking to buy a SIM free PRIV from carphonewarehouse in the UK. I will use my O2 SIM in the phone. How do updates work in this situation? Will I receive Marshmallow, and will I receive the monthly security updates?

Are these only for BlackBerry shop bought phones?

Hey Jonny

I'm running an unlocked CPW Priv (STV-4) on ThreeUK and all's good.
You'll be prompted to install Marshmallow (if it doesnt ship already installed) when you boot up.
Monthly security updates direct from BlackBerry usually only very little time after the ShopBB units.

I'm currently running August security patch, waiting for new build AAG111 though..

Go get your Priv. Honestly superb device!

Back with Lollipop yes, she got hot. Especially when charging...which you did a lot of on that OS too.
Different beast with Marshmallow though in all aspects. I'm still very impressed and love mine.
