My wife, who has an iPhone constantly sends me GIF's through SMS. I would love to send some back to her, but I can't see any options. Am I blind, or is it an Android thing or BlackBerry thing?

You can. Occasionally for me it doesn't as a gif so before I hit send I click on the gif to make sure it runs.

I always download the gif and attach it to the message to be sure it does so properly. Occasionally the gif doesn't run and loop, so it would only send as a still. So if the gif is running in the preview it should send properly. This is a text exchange between me and my sister from last year. Ignore the 1st 2, that was some unknown error that I've never replicated. That 3rd picture is a gif and is looping as it should. Sharing directly through a site like giphy to your SMS works 50/50 of the time.




The same rules apply whenever I try to comment on Facebook with a gif on my Priv. It does it right 50/50.

If you use a message app called Pulse it is an option within the app and it will work 100% of the time.
