I got an alert when I opened Chrome that I had viruses on my PRIV. Naturally I didn't click through but it's disconcerting. Is anybody else experiencing this?

This happened too "all of us" at two different hotels while on Madeira Island. We had a mix of devices, apples, samsung, bb10 and my Priv. We presume it was part of the "benefits" of the hotels' wifi systems. If you canNOT dump it, force close your browser -The square box at the bottom (recent apps) and then hit the X in its frame.

People need to learn how to better discern popup ads from everything else. Also, does it even make sense to see some kind of virus warning if you, say, don't even have an antivirus installed? Logic, folks.

While I agree, when it suddenly happens and there's no way to remove or dismiss the pop-up, it can cause instant distress/fear.

Tap the square on the bottom of the touch screen. When the screen shrinks, swipe left.

The app 'WOT Mobile Security' is worth installing, it warns about sites based upon reputation and crowd sourced information. They also have a chrome plug in for desktop.
