I work for very large corporation, their Activesync policy for bring your own devices is:
    IOS phone is OK
    BlackBerry phone is OK
    Windows Phone is OK
    Android is NOT OK

What will happen if I buy PrIv ? Will this phone will get reject by the server because it's Android. You can argue it is a BlackBerry secure phone ?

According to another forum thread the BlackBerry Priv is identified as a BlackBerry smartphone by Microsoft Exchange Server Active Sync policy.

    Hi All,

It shows on BES12 management console as an Android and I'm pretty sure it's an Android according to exchange too.

I lucked out with this because the corporation i work for actually uses google apps for business. But i am going to follow this thread for curiosity sake. It sounds like your company's exchange policy list acceptable operating systems vs handset manufactures.

Someone posted there company does not allow BlackBerry smartphones on their Microsoft Exchange Server and he/she confirmed the BlackBerry Priv is reported as a BlackBerry not an Android. Just saying what I read on this forum.

Could someone post screen shot of BES12 to show PRIV.
If it shows Android then I won't even try PRIV

I can confirm that EAS sees priv as a BlackBerry device and not android. My org has approved android devices but my priv is blocked as it shows as BlackBerry.

Also note, Gmail on Priv will in fact sync with my orgs email, and it's only hub which is blocked. Kinda a big deal I'm hoping is resolved because Gmail client is trash compared to HUB.

Unfortunately I have to give up the PRIV dream.
Our Activesync won't accept PRIV because it is not BlackBerry 10. Initially I thought it is accepting BlackBerry as a phone but after we just got told to use Air Watch mdm agent from now.
From Air Watch console I can see phone made and OS
