    Hi, I have a weird issue with my bluetooth handsfree Whats it. When I first connect, the first call is distorted, so I end call, re dial and it's fine. Bizarre!? I think the BT device is a talk buddy or something. Pos from Halfords yonks ago for £30. Any ideas?

    First thing to do is determine if its the smartphone or the bluetooth device.
    Try another bluetooth device with your smartphone.

    Ok next thing to do is turn off wifi and see if your scenario reproduces.

    Start by trying a current and up to date bluetooth device. Priv is 4.1, maybe it just takes a connection to adjust backwards all the way down to the POS, years old really cheap device.
    - I don't have that problem, but then I'm runing a fairly current BT 3.something decent quality hands free.
    No WiFi interference either.
