Woohoo I think pretty much confirmed that -1 has wireless Charging
Well US SBB was never the point of contention, it was the CA and UK specs.

You should see the price for me to get the STV100-3. HK$ 6488, even after a 20% preorder discount it's HK$ 5710. That's CAD$ 963 for me, plus I need to pay taxes at the border when I fly back...
Can't you open it and start using it? Then it becomes an your "in use" device and you don't have to pay taxes at the border?

Also, does the Canadian government still refund GST to travelers (I think you're Canadian, which is why I'm asking...)

If I do that and they find the box, my Nexus is toast.

And yes they do, but the process is designed such that you don't bother.

Unless there are sub-variants, the specs for the US ShopBB and Canadian ShopBB Privs look the same to me:

    Code:
    US: FD-LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29,30 HSPA+ 1, 2, 4, 5/6, 8
    Code:
    Canada: FD-LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29,30 HSPA+ 1, 2, 4, 5/6, 8

Yes, and RevisionCuda said ShopBB made a mistake about wireless charging too. However BlackBerryHelps say it doesn't have it. I just don't know who to trust at this point.

No "personal phone vs. business phone" allowances?

If this was me, I would leave the box. Take the accessories.

Nope, if they have doubts, you need to prove it was already taxed in Canada. It's listed in the rules.

Well I could send the entire thing back via postage and bring my beat up Classic with me instead...
We do get some allowance for personal, so I might not get taxed on the whole amount, but I'm probably doing duty free shopping so it eats into the limit. We're only allowed $800.

If it's confirmed -3 doesn't have wireless charging, I'm going to forego the TD-LTE bands. It's only for China anyways and I can always use Unicom. Hong Kong is all FD-LTE so the Americas version already works fine. Between the TD-LTE bands and wireless charging, I use the latter much more.

I don't think that answers the question correctly.

That person might be confused with carrier priv and not shopbb priv. Ask again.

Their website says "exclusively" but other things say "first in the US". Dunno. I'm confident, or was, that Bla1ze was correct in saying "next year" for Verizon.

Bla1ze also kinda indicated that Verizon might have flip flopped a little... So at one time maybe AT&T might have had an exclusive?

But then we've had people saying that both Sprint and T-Mobile reps says it's coming... and they have variants for those carriers? But yeah that has happened before too...

Would have been a strong statement if on Friday you cold walk into any US Carrier's retail store and see a large BlackBerry PRIV display......

They did indeed change it. Probably had a copy of the old passport page and over looked it. BlackBerry was bombarded with tweets and posts regarding other carriers and probably had then revise it.

For the sake of carrier relationships, I hope that's what it was, rather than "so...remember how we said you guys had the exclusive? That's not the case anymore..."
