    All European models are STV100-4.

    There should be 3 more variants, which should be 2, 5 and 6.

    Based on an earlier post, the variants should be

    STV100-1 -> AT&T, but somehow this is listed on ShopBB as the Canadian and US unlocked.
    STV100-2 -> Verizon
    STV100-3 -> China/APAC/TDD
    STV100-4 -> EMEA
    STV100-5 -> Sprint
    STV100-6 -> NA, but I'm thinking this is T-Mobile. Android Authority previously indicated the leaked unit was STV100-6 and it showed T-Mobile bloatware.

    Do you happen to know how Android updates work for phones that are used outside of their intended region?

    I'm in the US but plan on getting the -3.

    Would I have to wait until until Google pushes updates for Asia to get updates? Or is that entirely up to my carrier?

    I actually haven't dealt much with Android outside of North America, but as far as I understand there's rarely carrier customization in Asia, at least the ones I saw in Hong Kong. Carriers sell the exact same retail models big box stores and resellers carry, so updates would be identical to unlocked in North America, i.e. straight from manufacturer.

    That's good to know. I'm just hoping Blackberry releases it in Asia sooner rather than later.

    The Snapdragon 820 phones are coming down the pipeline early next year and the market will be even more difficult for Blackberry to navigate.

    Does anyone know how I can get in contact with BB support via email?
    I have tried their support section but it's not really helpful.

    Maybe someone on the forum can answer the questions I have.
    I am from Europe and I have a friend in CA who will buy the Priv for me. The only problem is that it seems the BB shop sells only STV100-1 model and apparently the one for Europe is STV100-4, so my question is how can I order a specific model from CA?
    I don't want to buy it from Europe since the price is really high here. I wanted to send an email to BB and ask them if they sell the other models as well, otherwise I will have to buy it from Europe or make sure that the one BB sells is compatible with the the provider I am on.

    Anyone any clue?

    No. They won't even stock that model in Canada. They are dropshipped from the manufacturer to the local distributors.

    I agree with what Toni said--if the Priv -4 is to be found in North America, it's most likely going to be an import. These usually show up on Amazon.com, etc. and generally lack warranty. But if you're buying a NA model even from ShopBB, your warranty probably wouldn't be honored outside NA anyway.

    Looking at the STV100-1, it isn't that bad when it comes to Europe. Your carriers are mostly UMTS 900/2100 and LTE b3/7/20, with a few exceptions in some countries (band 1, 9, etc.) So generally speaking, even the STV100-1 is a good fit for Europe.

    Canadian carrier model is NOT STV100-1 it appears, unless it's a typo on Telus' store. Page is live, and it lists LTE band 41 (TD-LTE used by Sprint) and no band 1, which is listed on all 3 that passed through the FCC at the moment.

    BlackBerry Priv | Mobility | TELUS.com

    STV100-1 on SBB does not support 41.

    No. None of the currently listed ones are. I'm willing to bet it's the unlisted STV100-6, which could also be the T-Mobile model.

    I'm asking them over Twitter now.

    Yes, please let us know. I think we can't completely rule out the -3 because it's a global phone and carrier band listings are what they are.

    Is there no FCC database-like public resource we can check?

    IC has an REL, but doesn't tell much. And the search is terrible. IC code for BlackBerry is 2503A.

    https://sms-sgs.ic.gc.ca/equipmentSe...n=e1s1&lang=en

    And probably can rule it out since it doesn't have band 1. 1,3,4 all have it.

    Just saw Telus' listing and it lists band 26, which, AFAIK is only a Sprint band. Bands 25, 26 and 41 make up the three main ones Sprint uses. Interesting.

    If the band 26 listing is correct, it can't be the -3.
