Hey everyone.. Just wanted to know your opinion about these two phones.
I used to be an android user. Then I switched to blackberry passport. It was really nice phone, but after some few months the screen had some problem and had to let it go.
So I'm planning buy Priv, but after the launch of g5, it's tempting me..
Which one is better according to you? Which one should I buy?
    Please share your opinion.
    Thank you.

Since you are coming from Passport background Priv will be the best device for you as it has both PKB and the VKB.

I would say to wait and see what attachments come out for the G5. As you probably well know, the new modular design was made so so that third party vendors could make pretty much any attachment for the phone. Someone could make a pretty stellar keyboard attachment for the G5 and you can be sure of tge G5's future. Especially if you buy unlocked. The Priv has had some isssues and since there was no word of update or anything regarding hardware at MWC. The hardware division may get cut at the end of the year if Priv sales were lackluster. Which would likely mean the end of hardware support. All of us who bought it already are really possibly holding Blackberry's last hurrah in our hands.

This, this is a non-brainer, it all comes down to your preference, no other device tempts me anymore after having the physical keyboard. only another device with a PKB might grab my attention. I don't care what CPU, what camera, etc. the next new phone is gonna have if it has no physical keyboard

I'm looking on V10, from pictures, it looks like Passport SE without keyboard (and double typing). I'm a huge fan of physical keyboards but 4th BlackBerry with double typing in a row... No way!

Get the S7 Edge, the edge functionality for multi tasking is supposedly really good.

I had the S6 edge+, after using the Edge a few times, I realized it's just a gimmick and I never felt like using it again. Just my 2 cents

s7 edge is far more developed than the s6 edge, have a look at the video on android central specifically on the edge.

Conite basically hit the nail on the head. It's really just that simple if you're doing an either/or.

If I wasn't getting a PRIV, I would get either the Nexus 6P, the Motorola Pure Edition, or if you want a smaller device, the Nexus 5x.

    No it doesnt....

No contest, G5 over Priv any day

The Priv is basically a G4 but with a lesser camera and a PKB

The edge itself is a gimmick simply because you could have the same functionality in any "non-edge" phone. The only advantage of the edge is the face down side notifications, but I bet nobody would want to put that phone upside down

I had the same edge functionality before the edge came out so the quoted post is correct.

Although any smart S6 owner would have a screen protector on as that thing is fragile!

The article was about the importance of monthly security updates. LG is notorious for not getting them in a timely manner.

OP, I have the LG V10.
    And I have a Passport.
And have tested out the Priv.

You want great camera and audio, stick going to the G5.

You want fluid OS and seamless hub stick to Passport.

You want something in between, go with Priv.
