I didn't like the name Priv at first but now it is growing on me.

IPad wasn't in the dictionary when it first came out and I also remember a lot of jokes associated with that name e.g reference to maxiPad and miniPad.

The only reason that works is because they currently have a large loyal fanbase who crave the next update. Nothing against Apple fans, I'm just putting it how it really is, not trying to insult! They will buy the next phone because they've had an amazing experience on the previous phone.

This isn't true anymore with BlackBerry as their current fanbase, while loyal, isn't big enough to make this work.

They need to be taking aim at the general public or at least phone enthusiasts, and the $900CAD pricetag is really botching their chances of capturing that market unless they have some pretty good sales pretty quick after launch!
