Same here, great return policy and customer service, but it appears ShopBB offers more discounts. However I've also heard horror stories about ShopBB that they send used devices as new and is a general PITA to deal with if something goes wrong. Friend got charged duties and taxes by UPS for a replacement.

More like 599/799... since Rogers people are preordering at that price it stands to reason that USD will be at a comparable discount. Just like the passport launch at 699 with an instant 100 off. 599 is the correct price point for this phone. Anything above that and your are fighting an uphill battle. Blackberry phone launches need to command a discount to the general market phones, not a premium - reality is that outside of this community, people have a negative opinion of BlackBerry... I am not sure Chen is insulated from reality, so let's see what happens tomorrow.

Wait for amazon to get it. A pre order with digital river means nothing. There is no such thing as first come first serve in their system. You could order it they day they are set to ship and get your phone a week before the person that had a pre order in 3 weeks in advance.

Very true. On the upper range of the optimism curve, but even a 100 discount would work for most at 649 - would be comparable to offerings out there.

Not really, I think some of the Canadian carriers already leaked their retail prices and they were about $150 CAD below the ShopBlackBerry "full retail" prices that hit their website for about 30 minutes...
