    Nuh-uh...no free shipping there!
Actually there was free shipping and 10% off but I cut that out because there was a code to use.

I didn't get one. They must know I'm truly broke and was only window shopping.

I know its completely legal and so on, and it doesnt bother me a bit. However to me it just comes off as hypocritical of the company that has made such a big deal of keeping what you do online/on your phone to yourself.

Haha, seriously? He consented to have BlackBerry contact him.

When they (BlackBerry) send me an email "inviting" me to pre-order the Priv...I replied by asking them "Why?"...suffices to say...I didn't hear back from them because they know they don't have any good reasons for an answer...

This is simply lead/sales nurturing - the act of following up with a customer that did not complete the product purchasing process.

It's an automated email that BBRY won't even realize it was sent until next month when they look at the email marketing analytics.

Hmmn not really in-line with the whole respecting privacy motto. But at least a classy/legal way of invading it lol

The big difference is that he put an item in the cart. I'd pull the privacy card if if was a drive by visit only.

Or they just ignore obvious trolls. That's what I'd do instead of wasting my time on your rude response.

If you really think they should take the time to write you a thoughtful response, you're an *****.

(really, it's likely an automated mailbox with no human monitoring).

Some people just don't get it. No one said this was the first time a retailer has done this. I recognized it as an aggressive and new sales tactic by BlackBerry!

    You missed the whole point

    That's new for BlackBerry man

    Beware of those emails...
When I got my passport a year ago, I hesitated & a follow-up email offered free 2day shipment...
I pulled the trigger & the thing came almost 3 weeks later...
By that time there were $100 off ads all over...
They wanted me to send it back & reorder to get the discount...
I bitched&moaned for weeks until they finally sent me the $100 as a refund to my credit card...
I am glad I stood my ground... my example has no physical defects & looks like new today...
