Hopefully Rogers gets it as well. Either way I'm buying it outright, so I guess Shop BlackBerry would be good too lol

Note to dc2000: avoid the comments section over at MS like the plague. Leave the fighting to Anthony Roberts... lol

Yikes... but seemingly along the lines on what they did. Passport 699 on ShopBB at launch, 749 at Bell.

Wasn't rogers listed for $899; I thought the $799 claim was refuted.

dc2000 said he saw on a rep's screen in a store in Dundas it says 899. mmmmm127 says he preordered and called reps multiple times they said 799, so did a few people who tweeted/called Rogers. I went to a Rogers store in Toronto and on their screen it says "BB PRIV 0.00", i.e. no price.

Take whatever you can from all this...

Guess I will wait till Nov 6 then, not in a rush. Would gladly save a lot of money buying a locked device then unlocking with a code online.

Or if you're staying with Bell anyway, don't bother unlocking it?

I'm on Koodo, but even if I get the Telus one I will unlock it. Ain't nobody got money to pay for carriers' roaming extortion rates.

I called Rogers to deal with my Reservation cancellation and they say after 3 minutes of waiting, that it was 799, Ive also Live Chatted on the website 2 times and got the same result and someone on twitter also got that result. I was going to but it from Rogers, but if WIND has it I go for them.

    Koodo's International roaming package:
    $40
    50 minutes
    50MB of data
    50 outgoing texts
    Free incoming texts

vs a prepaid card I bought in Hong Kong for around 200 HKD (34 CAD) nets me 1GB for 30 days and 500+ mins talk time.

Gotcha... in my travels I've just put a package on with Bell and it's worked out fine... but we're only talking going somewhere for a week or so... not extensive travel requiring me to buy another SIM... an unlocked phone doesn't really matter to me

When you're visiting home with parents around, you need minutes on your card.
