Hopefully it comes with BlackBerry's bedside mode *fingers crossed*
What does it do? Ive been running Android for the past 5 yrs so I could tell you what we have that might be like it.
With one swipe it gives you alarm control and pre-determined notification settings (for me - no led, no messages notification, only calls).
It leaves the screen on with a clock (you can turn the screen off if you want).
When I switched to Android for a few months I missed it every day.
It shuts off the notification light and notification sounds, and shows a very dim clock on black background and the screen stays on perpetually (if you're charging).
Android does that and has for as long as I can remember.
How can Android do that?
I mean, You have an alarm app, notification profiles, probably a dim clock app that maybe can control your alarm, but is there one app to do it all?
What is this app? is it a part of the OS?
I use an app called NoLED. This shows the time and charging %(you can change the colors of everything). It will also display an icon of whatever notification has come in. You can also show weather on the screen if you want.

But no notification control.
Will it allow "Phone calls only". That is a feature. Or just emails from wife, or just BBMs. While the clock and alarm are on in very dim but clear clock. I could never find something equal on iPhone 6.

No.... and that's one of the reasons I too hope bedside mode got brought over.

Starting with lollipop you have something that's called priority/do not disturb. You can set when you want the phone to go quiet and which contacts you allow through via text/call/email.
Yeah at 10pm mine goes into priority mode and only calls from my wife and family plus texts from them would get through

With the clock on full screen in dim mode? And you could set the alarm at same time? All in one app?
Actually, bedside mode is not a app. It is integrated right into settings in BlackBerry. Sounds like this a fail in Android. It is in iPhone. Not being integrated

It's just a notification profile and can be modified like any other one on BB10.
Something iPhone or Android only devices can't do. Hopefully Priv has this capability

The s6 edge has it.. the edge can be used as night clock

I try several Android app and will continue, but nothing as good as BB bedside mode.
If S6 got it, I will try to find information
I use one that's called Phone Profiles. Very easy to use app where you can set profiles for Work, Home, Outdoor, meeting and Sleep
