Am I not setting something correctly. Or BBM is not in the HUB at all. Not even talking about whatsapp or something else that isn't blackberry made.

It's in my hub as well. Ensure that all your apps are up to date. Go to Google play store. Type in blackberry limited...then you will see all the apps. Ensure they are updated and then do a reboot. When the phone turns back on do a complete power off for 5 mins and power on. It should work. When my Facebook and Twitter weren't showing I did that and it works fine

Why do I have to search for the app to invoke an update? I think it should notify when updates are available. I went to the play store and it didn't show me any updates available. So I thought I was all updated. Let's reboot now and see.

So you DIDN'T update the apps. That's all I asked because you have to manually find the apps and update. Hopefully the updates will resolve your issue. Fingers crossed for you, sir.

Some are pointing to the Google Play Store as the culprit here, but who knows. Either way it's inconvenient to the end user.

Most times they are auto pushed through but at times they are not due to needing you to accept some permissions. Also verify if you are settings are on "update apps over WiFi only"

Yes it wasn't updated. But why look manually for the updates? Thank you very much. It works now. Does whatsapp work?

What's app doesn't work yet. Just FB and Twitter amongst the standard stuff so far. In due time. The developers have to also update their apps to support the Hub

Glad it's working for you now, but you won't always get notification of updates sometimes you have to search for them. it's a bit inconvenient but not too bad.
How do you like the phone so far? is it smooth? any lag? other issues?
