    Depends on what services BlackBerry is providing with the Priv
    Every Samsung device asks you to (not mandatory) sign up with their Samsung account for their appstore, backups, etc... should BlackBerry provide similar services then BlackBerry would probably make you use BBID

    Wait, is BlackBerry Protect included in the productivity suite? I don't think I saw it there...

    Well, Anti-Theft/ Kill Switch is required by law if they plan to sell phones in the US (specifically California), so BlackBerry Protect will have to exist in some form.
