BB Onscreen Keyboard double-typing numbers in Gmail?

I went to type an email today and when I type the following:

$120

You would think that would work. Well, this is what I get

$1120

and to make it even more weird... When I try to erase that mistake with the back key, I get this

$1120112

If I use the swipe to delete, that works, but I still cant type. It happens with $220 as well etc...

What is going on?

My wife uses a LG G4 and we installed the BB Keyboard on her phone too. The same thing happens for her on that phone.

I think its a GMAIL issue as it only happens when in an email. All my other apps it works fine.

Let me know if you guys have this happen to you.

BlackBerry Keyboard Version: 2.5.0.10207
Gmail Version: 7.2.26.149804060.release

How does one report this type of a bug? To whom?

I had the same problem with the BlackBerry keyboard installed on a Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet (Lollipop 5.1) trying to leave a comment in Facebook on Firefox. I ended up using the Google keyboard, as technically, the BlackBerry keyboard isn't officially supported on tablets. I'm surprised the problem is happening on the PRIV!

I am glad you get the same thing as I do on my Priv!!!

I too can only reproduce this in GMAIL.

So there is an obvious bug with either GMAIL or the BB Keyboard.
This happens on the LG G4 as well with GMAIL and the BB Keyboard.

Where would the bug reside? With BB or Google?

I see Elite carried it to using the Hub. I don't use Gmail directly and only through the Hub.

Is there some benefit to using the Gmail app as opposed to using it via the Hub?

Not in my opinion. For me the Gmail app is terrible.

I use gmail in the hub, and have disabled it as a separate app. Here's a pic of a new (hub) gmail showing that there's no probs using either the vkb or the pkb:

I used to use the Hub for my GMAIL, but I had the following issue.

I also use the HUB for work email. I like to keep the check mark on to show all my sent messages.

The problem is, I can't turn that feature off for GMAIL. I end up seeing all my sent email as well in my gmail. Is there an area to change that and differentiate between Gmail and Work email?

I dont see all these sent emails in my gmail app, just in the Hub. I found that super annoying and I have not went back to try lately.

let me know if that changes

The double-typing issue has been fixed with the latest updates (Gmail ver 7.3.13.151698241.release with BB KB ver 2.5.1.11009).
